Emanuel: The untold story of the victims and Survivors of the Emanuel church shooting

I had the privilege of moderating a panel for the private screening of the documentary, Emanuel: The Untold Story of the Victims and Survivors of the Emanuel Church Shooting in Charleston, South Carolina at the Sandler Center for Performing Arts yesterday. Pictured below is Ms. Polly standing strong, confident, and telling the untold story of their church shooting back in 2015. We had an dialogue about forgiveness, racial compositions, bridging communities together, the mental thoughts and possible reasons hate crimes happen, and hope. The panel shared their stories of how this hate crime knitted their local communities together, bringing unity. Directed by Brian Ivie, executive producers are Viola Davis, Stephen Curry, Dane Smith, David Siegel, and Tina Siegel, produced by Dimas Salaberrrios, John Shepherd, and Mike Wildt.
